INTRO TO RISOGRAPH - Friday, February 28th 12-4pm

Friday, February 28th 12-4pm
Instructor: Amy Burek

Learn the basics of printing with the risograph, a machine that looks like a photocopier and works like a screen printer. During this introductory workshop, we will examine the ins and outs of the machine and discuss what types of projects translate well to riso printing. We will also cover file prep, paper selection, design for multiple colors, troubleshooting common problems, and an overview of Bay Area Risograph resources. Each participant will have the opportunity to print an edition of 25 two-color prints. Bring a hard copy of your image (designed in black and white or converted to grayscale) on 8.5”x11” paper. For two-color printing, your image must be color separated into two grayscale images. Materials will also be available for image making during class. We will be printing on a Risograph RZ220.

Current ink colors (as of June 2019): Black, Risofederal (Navy) Blue, Hunter Green, Grass Green, Yellow, Bright Red, Fluorescent Pink and Fluorescent Orange.

No Refunds unless class is cancelled
